Vanilla Cake
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 16g baking powder
- 200g powdered sugar (approximately 1 1/2 cups)
- 200g butter (approximately 1 3/4 cups)
- 50g potato starch
- 300g flour (approximately 2 cups)
- A pinch of salt
- 150g yogurt (approximately 1 cup)
- Vanilla (to taste)
Method:
- Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F).
- Grease and line a 22cm cake pan with parchment paper.
- Mixing:
- In a mixer, combine the eggs, baking powder, powdered sugar, butter, potato starch, flour, salt, yogurt, and vanilla.
- Blend all the ingredients together in the mixer for approximately 3 minutes or until a smooth batter is formed.
- Baking:
- Pour the prepared batter into the lined cake pan.
- Place the cake pan in the preheated oven.
- Bake at 180°C (360°F) for approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cooling:
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Then transfer the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing or decorating as desired.
