The Best Goulash

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2/3 cup chopped onion
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup dry elbow macaroni pasta
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce (or 2 cans of 8 ounces each)
  • 1 jar homemade canned diced tomatoes, or 1 can (use low-sodium) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
