⭐ Ingredients

For the Dough (easy homemade)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼–⅓ cup cold milk (as needed)

OR use ready-made puff pastry for a quicker version.


Fillings (choose any)

1. Savory Chicken Filling

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella
  • Salt + pepper + chili flakes

2. Spinach & Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup sautéed spinach
  • ½ cup ricotta or mozzarella
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt + pepper

3. Potato Filling

  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese
  • Salt + pepper + paprika

4. Sweet Nutella Filling

  • 1–2 tbsp Nutella per pastry
  • Optional: banana slices

🍴 Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. Mix flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. Rub in the cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add egg + milk slowly to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead lightly and chill for 20 minutes.

(If using puff pastry — skip this part.)


2. Prepare the Fillings

Mix your desired filling ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust salt/spices.


3. Assemble the Pastries

  1. Roll out dough or puff pastry ⅛ inch thick.
  2. Cut into squares or circles.
  3. Add 1–2 tbsp filling in the center.
  4. Fold into triangles, rectangles, or parcels.
  5. Seal edges with a fork or pinch tightly.

4. Egg Wash

Brush tops with:

  • 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp milk
    This gives a beautiful golden color.

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F)
  • Bake 15–20 minutes (puff pastry)
  • Or 20–25 minutes (homemade dough)
    Until golden, crispy, and puffed.
