Caramel Cake (Salted Caramel Cake)

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

4. Make the Frosting:

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  • Add powdered sugar, salted caramel sauce, and heavy cream. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Adjust the consistency with more cream if needed.

5. Assemble the Cake:

  • Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting over the top.
  • Drizzle with salted caramel sauce. Repeat with the second and third cake layers.
  • Frost the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
  • Garnish with additional salted caramel sauce and a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
