Sesame ball rainbow

  1. Red (Strawberry Filling):
    • Fresh strawberries, diced
    • Strawberry jam or compote
  2. Orange (Orange Zest Filling):
    • Orange zest
    • Honey or orange marmalade
  3. Yellow (Mango Filling):
    • Ripe mango, diced
    • Mango puree or jam
  4. Green (Matcha Filling):
    • Matcha powder
    • Sweetened red bean paste
  5. Blue (Blueberry Filling):
    • Fresh blueberries, mashed
    • Blueberry jam or compote
  6. Purple (Ube Filling):
    • Ube (purple yam) paste or jam
    • Sweetened condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Make the Sesame Ball Dough:
    • In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and sugar.
    • Gradually add water and knead until you have a smooth, elastic dough.
  2. Prepare the Rainbow Fillings:
    • Prepare each filling separately by combining the chosen ingredients for each color. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  3. Assemble the Rainbow Balls:
    • Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it in your palm.
    • Place a small amount of the chosen filling in the center and seal the edges, forming a ball.

    • Roll each ball in sesame seeds, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  2. Fry the Sesame Balls:
    • Heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pan to 350°F (180°C).

  3. Drain and Serve:
    • Remove the sesame balls from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
