MOUNDS CAKE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 1 cake mix (white or yellow cake mix)
- ½ cup cocoa
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chocolate syrup
- 8 oz. tub Cool Whip
- 2 cups Coconut, shredded
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Mix the cake according to the package instructions. Add cocoa and sugar, then blend well.
- Pour the cake mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle 2 cups of chocolate chips over the top of the cake.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven. Poke holes in the cake with a meat fork.
- Warm the chocolate syrup and pour it over the hot cake. Cover and let the cake cool overnight.
- Mix whipped cream and shredded coconut together for frosting.
- Spread the coconut and whipped cream mixture over the cake. Chill the cake.
- The Mounds Cake is now ready to be served. Enjoy!
