Cheesy Tater Tot Hot Dog Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 8 hotdogs, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 2 (15 oz) cans chili (with beans)
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine hotdog slices, chili, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese on top of the baked casserole.
  7. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is slightly crispy on top.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve.
